Baxter Brewing’s summer ale “Celsius”

Baxter Brewing (ME) summer ale “Celsius” is delicious. Lemon and lime peel, Kaffir lime leaves, and lemongrass?! Yowza. This ale has a dose of  wheat and is unfiltered, so this golden colored beer is cloudy, with swirling solids I assume left over from the herbs added. I’m typically not a big fan of the big-selling summers like Sam and Harpoon Summer Ales. This is almost a mix of lemonade with an extra pale ale. There’s still American citrus hops in the nose, but the lemon and lime comes in the beers bite and aftertaste. 4.7% ABV keeps this sessionable, but still full of flavor. Highly recommended. So far this 2 for 2 with Baxter, their Stowaway IPA being the first of their beers I’ve tried. Looks like I will be grabbing Baxter’s Pamola Xtra Pale Ale next.

You will find Baxter beers in CANS… that’s right, cans. Craft beer doesn’t require a brown bottle folks. In fact, can’s offer better protection from light and oxygen, beer’s mortal enemies.
